After 28 events since October 2010, the Positively Pottstown Happy Hour is taking a break! These mostly-monthly gatherings showcased local businesses, arts organizations, bakers, restaurants, and caterers and brought people together for networking. I have a feeling it won't be too long before we're all getting together again... in the meantime, be well and buy local!
Pottstown >> Rupert Elementary School had a re-dedication event on Saturday afternoon. The building was open for self-guided tours to checkout renovations made to the oldest school in the Pottstown School District. The event included plenty of free activities. Pottstown basketball State Champion Howard Brown was there to shoot hoops with children.
AMITY >> Township police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the armed robbery of a 74-year-old Birdsboro man outside the National Penn Bank Sunday night to contact them at 610-689-6002, Ext. 250.According to police the robbery occurred around 10:35 p.m. outside the bank located at 63 Old Swede Road, near the intersection with Route 422.
North Coventry >> Crews from Lenni Electric of West Chester install traffic signals at the base of the Route 422 westbound off ramp to South Hanover Street in North Coventry. According to a Lenni Electric worker on the scene, the lights are only being installed as a temporary fixture while the Route 422 construction project is ongoing.
