Trinity Reformed Church shines light on hunger

Trinity Reformed Church of the United Church of Christ in Pottstown recently collected 859 items of food, weighing in at 862 pounds for the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities. Groups within the church held a friendly competition to see who could collect the most food. It was part of the United Church of Christ’s national campaign Mission: 1 which brings attention to hunger locally and globally. Members of the congregation also collected money for national and global food programs and wrote letters to Congress.
