After 28 events since October 2010, the Positively Pottstown Happy Hour is taking a break! These mostly-monthly gatherings showcased local businesses, arts organizations, bakers, restaurants, and caterers and brought people together for networking. In my father's shoe store in the 1950s, there was a machine called an X-Ray Shoe Fitter. It was a wooden contraption with an opening at the bottom. Parents looked through a viewing portal to observe X-rays of their children's feet. The bones were visible as well as the outlines of the shoes. It was a gimmick.
